Silent Cal has Something to Say

Nothing in this world can take the place of persistence. Talent will not; nothing is more common than unsuccessful people with talent. Genius will not; unrewarded genius is almost a proverb. Education will not; the world is full of educated derelicts. Persistence and determination alone are omnipotent. The slogan "press on" has solved and always will solve the problems of the human race.
--Calvin Coolidge, 1932(?)

I'm not really a fan of Coolidge, but this quote is worth paying attention to.

"...unrewarded genius is almost a proverb."

Poetic.
This is happening: it is Winter time once again in New York and people are complaining about the chill.

Weak. What have we dropped to? Low twenties, at the worst.

Winters used to be much worse. One time I went to take a piss in my bathroom and the water in the toilet was frozen.

Do you hear what I'm saying? I went to take a piss and I ended up peeing on a block of ice.

No big deal, eh?

What do you do next?

Laterz,
